AERALIS to demonstrate innovative modular jet design at RIAT 2022
AERALIS, the transformational British military jet developer, will be supporting the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2022. RIAT takes place at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire, from 15th – 17th July, and AERALIS will be exhibiting on the chalet line.
Inside the company’s chalet AERALIS will be demonstrating the model-based systems engineering approach which is enabling the effective assessment of aircraft performance in a digital test and evaluation environment. Members of the AERALIS team will also be available to explain the concept in further detail, supported by videos, graphics and a sub-scale model of the aircraft, allowing visitors to fully visualise the modularity of the jet and its applications.
RIAT marks an important step in the company’s growth, following a successful year for the British jet developer. The last year has seen AERALIS partner with several companies for the ultimate delivery of the aircraft, including Thales UK, Atkins, Siemens, Martin-Baker and Hamble Aerostructures. AERALIS also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Rolls-Royce to explore initial and future options to meet the company’s propulsion requirements. AERALIS is also in phase two of a three-year contract with the Royal Air Force’s Rapid Capabilities Office.
Most recently, AERALIS further developed its partnering arrangement with Hamble Aerostructures by hosting Paul Holmes, MP for Eastleigh, for a tour of Hamble’s facility and a briefing on the collaborative partnership between the two companies.
