The Defence Economic Growth Taskforce Report, led by ADS Group Ltd with industry and government, sets out a clear, practical agenda to make defence a national engine of growth. Backed by the Chancellor of the Exchequer and Secretary of State for Defence, it calls for smarter procurement, stronger exports, and a long-term industrial vision.

“This means not just spending more, but spending wisely: reforming procurement to reward domestic value creation … and ensuring that our procurement, export, and innovation strategies are all geared towards unlocking growth.” said The Rt Hon the Secretary of State for Defence & The Rt Hon the Chancellor of the Exchequer.

The report highlights five key priorities:

✅ Reinvigorate the ‘Team UK’ mindset
✅ Improve global competitiveness of UK defence firms
✅ Mobilise private sector investment
✅ Attract finance into the UK defence supply chain
