FAQ – YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED #2: HOW IS AERALIS ENGAGING WITH FRANCE?

16 September 2025

AERALIS has an office in France and is exploring opportunities to collaborate with French government and industry partners to work together on the AERALIS jet.

This could be achieved under the Lancaster House Treaty, a long-standing defence cooperation agreement between the UK and France. The treaty enables joint development, procurement, and operational support of defence capabilities, opening the door to shared innovation, cross-border industrial collaboration, and joint training programmes that strengthen both nations’ aerospace sectors.

By working together, we can accelerate the development of our aircraft system, reduce costs, and enhance interoperability across allied air forces whilst also exploiting our modular design to allow the UK and France to develop sovereign aircraft for their respective national display teams.

Furthermore, thanks to its French subsidiary, AERALIS will collaborate directly with the EASA – European Union Aviation Safety Agency, developing a programme benefiting from a European civil type certificate and providing AERALIS with access to European export markets and EASA-recognised worldwide interoperability.
